I spent 2 weeks at an art residency at Azule, near Hot Springs, NC in the summer of 2020. There were only 2 of us there, both visual artists. The art room opened up on a view of meadow and mountains and a large rock jutted up from the grass. Sometimes, when I would take a break from painting, I would go out and sit on the rock, warm from the sun.
This piece is 24" x 24" acrylic on canvas.
