This is one of my favorites. In 1922 some missionaries visited St. Helena Island, SC and brought gifts for some of the children. My mother-in-law, Kathleen, was 9-years-old. She'd lost both parents by age 5. A traveling photographer took a picture of some of the children with their gifts. In the early 1970's some glass prints of those pictures were found in a box at the Penn School on St. Helena Island. It's the earliest picture we have a Mama. The original is 12" x 16", oil and silver leaf on board and is in a private collection. This giclee is also 12" x 16" and is printed on high quality gloss paper.
