This is in the Saints and Angels series. I've known and loved Tendaji since he was 12. When I painted this I thought, "I think this is what Jesus looks like." The adinkra symbol behind him is Hye Won Hye, the Ghanaian symbol for Endurance. That is appropriate for Tendaji. The 12" x. 12" original is acrylic, gold leaf and hand-painted paper on board. It's in a hand-built and painted wooden frame.
