My Sweetgrass Saints are ancestors who lived and worked in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Harriet Tubman came to the Lowcountry in 1862 to work with the Union Army. She ran a bakery and a laundry in downtown Beaufort. She nursed the black soldiers and also served as a spy for Colonel Montgomery. This women is my hero. This original is acrylic on 8" x 10" canvas. It's in a gold frame.
